ROBUST
Ubiquitous eHealth Solution for Fracture Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
ROBUST is a project funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, and aims to address the healthcare and socioeconomic challenges posed by an ageing population, particularly focusing on the healing and recovery process of elderly patients prone to bone fractures.
By developing an advanced mobile eHealth system, the project seeks to leverage cutting-edge sensing and measurement technologies to enable remote monitoring of patients’ healing progress. The system is designed to ensure safety, privacy, and energy efficiency while offering immediate feedback and assistive instructions tailored to the dynamic needs of patients. Furthermore, ROBUST fosters a multidisciplinary and intersectoral network for training, knowledge exchange, and innovation in the eHealth domain.
Project Goals
– Develop a smart, mobile eHealth system for remote monitoring of elderly patients’ healing processes.
– Leverage advanced sensor technologies to handle dynamic and complex situations effectively.
– Ensure patient safety, privacy, and energy efficiency in system operations.
– Provide real-time feedback and assistive instructions through a fast, adaptive feedback loop.
– Promote multidisciplinary collaboration and training to enhance European innovation in eHealth systems and applications.
